During this difficult time, we wanted to remind you that Unaka Internal Medicine remains open and ready to care for you! However, we have made some adjustments in how we operate to keep us all safe.
We are excited to introduce telemedicine visits for our routine follow-up visits, wellness visits as well as any sick visits. These visits are simple, safe and can be completed from the comfort of your home. All you need for the video portion is a smartphone or computer with camera and microphone (found on most laptop computers or tablet devices). When it is time for your visit, we will send you a link, either by text message or email that you will click on and it will open a box asking for permission to access your camera and microphone for the purpose of the call. Once confirmed, you will quickly and automatically see me, Whitley or Laura on the screen. We can complete the visit, make recommendations and send any medications electronically to your pharmacy. If you do not have access to video capabilities, we can complete your visit over the phone.
